Ip bans are generally not used as there are far too many ways around them and they end up limiting legitimate users who also might end up on the same ip address.
Certain isp's pass around ip addresses quite frequently, you know.

you are a giant, that is a sincere opinion, free of bias, a rare quality (tad too serious mind, though I do recall a joke several months ago........)

here it's mainly been about fun, alleviating boredom. I did enjoy some genuine dialogue but I wasn't allowed to indulge for long due to the pratts round here who won't let a freethinker comment freely.

you can't complain about lack of sincerity when sincerity is not welcome unless it is identical to the accepted 'norm' of the forum.

But I promise to behave on very other forum, there I will be sincere, heart felt, emotional, tear jerkingly real.

My real persona, the one the real world get:
well to sum up: fun, generous, genuine, honest. I don't need to be that here, it's not welcome, I know. I tried it.

I found out everything I needed to know about most the people here a few months back. I was I thought liked by some, yet when I made mention of some worries about my health only one person responded and wished me well. That one person was cottontop. He at that time was my number 1 enemy, hated my guts. Yet he realised my concerns and said 'don't worry toR it'll be ok'. I never forgot it. I also realised then that people here really don't care about anyone other than themselves. So I stopped caring too.

 

Well, I wouldn't say that. But perhaps moreso than some.

Understandable, I suppose.
I don't think that these forums are here for 'caring'. There are emotional support forums for that.
But, you can make friends in forums like this, I suppose. (I don't know much about that really. Only had any kind of real private conversations with two people here.)
And when you find out these friends are only 'friends' then I can understand that it would shake you up a bit.
Of course, real life is like that too.
Never know what people are going to do until they do it.

A possibility to consider is that no one knows how to respond to such concerns. So the moment passes.
I'm sure you've committed such failed opportunities in your own lifetime.
