Physiologists are people with specific psychologies and cultures just like the rest of us. I mean Mengele was a doctor.

    typical pathetic retard sheople.
ive paused it on the intro as the interviewer is telling the other women what the majority do and what is considered acceptable and...
why are there no men there ?
what type of sick and twisted society is this that gender stereo types parenting and behavioural modification techniques ?

    honestly its quite pathetic !
now... off to watch the rest of what i expect to make me want to get yup and punch them all in the face a few times before i hack them to death with a knife.

this soo called psychologist is a total munter, she could not be less in touch with herself is she had her head chopped off and exported to the moon.
she is a born again christian i think. the sign of low grade brain washing is obvious.
i would love to make that women have a mental break down hahahaha.

soo its ok if you do hit your kids
but it is ok if you dont but if you dont you have to justify every single part of your parenting unles you just want to hit your child then every other part of your parenting is simply ignored and or assumed to be good.

fucking freaks i say and they all need a damn good punching in the face the next time they step out of line.

i care soo much i spell checked you and now im off to spank some lovely bottoms and watch children cry mmmm yummy bottom spanking of children. i love it when it all goes red and i can see how i have hurt them.
i love it when they cry like i am raping them.
thats the best part of being a parent.
being able to inflict pain on childrens sexual regions so i can fantasise about raping them.

then when they lose their virginity for the first time they can call it rape and blame all men for "taking" something away fromthem that i really already stole and no one will ever realise...
yes... its nice to be just another parent running on auto evil.

    Psyche,

So after all the psycho-analysis, it is clear that to me there is something else going on with you.

Time outs are used by people who don't deserve to live ?

    Care to explain this.

    Clue-less,

F8ck you. Your being an Ass.

Yes, huh. You have not offered an alternative, other than let the kids run the house.

You didn't say that the first time, in this case sure I would go along. But letting you take the car to the body shop which I assume you paid to fix, is different than just letting you have the car without any repurcussions.

    As do I mine.

Aparently youv'e turned a blind eye to it... but what ive offered over an over is the bes alternative... raize kids like i was razed by treetin 'em wit respect an no punishments will be needed... an thats pure sillyness that ive suggested letin the kids run the house... lol.!!!

But i ask you... what shud a parent do when they have tryed everthang includin "whippin" an ther kids still dont behave properly... whip 'em harder.???

No punishments at all is going way too far. But there are perfectly workable punishments that don't involve hitting a kid.

    Clueless,

No, your and ass because your making mountains out of molehills, you have nothing but snide remarks to make. So, I just returned the favor.

Once again your called me an abuser by equating spanking with abuse.

You act like I don't treat my kids with respect. You are implying that there is a very cut and dry. (punishment is abuse) (no punnishment is respect) and that is a bunch of crap.

You are suggesting that the kid will be perfect and never cross the line where discipline is needed.

You have not offered an alternative for the times when kids push the boundary and cross the line.

Which in my case as a parent is 6 times total for 2 kids covering 16 years. So tell me I am a f8cking abuser.

In all of those 16 years, since the total spankings is 6, how much f8cking time did I spend on other routes. How much of that time have my kids behaved quite well. Figure it out.

Never whipped my kids. Stop implying that I did.

I have answered this before. In my case, that was the end of it. Now, keep in mind that I have a 10 year old. There are going to be a lot of times from here where she will make big mistakes, understanding they are older now, we should be able to rationally work things out.

This is not the case with a 4 year old. This is where spanking comes in. I don't expect to spank my 6 year old again, and I would not spank my ten year old again. There are more effective ways to get the point across at their current ages.

Its certanly "way to far" for the whippers in this thred... lol... but its the way i was raized an i loved it.!!!

I see it as desirable to give the child the necesary attenton an respect whare no punishments are necesary.!!!

Punishments will always be necessary. Everyone makes mistakes, especially when young. But there are perfectly civilized punishments that work.

Mos people will continue to use punishments an about 50% of people will continue to hit ther kids... but if i had hit or punished in som other way the 2 year old little girl i baby set for... for 9 houres a day for 6 mounthes... i woudnt have felt very "civilized"... lol.!!!

An sure... i coud have smaked her hands an hollered "no" at her like her parents did... which didnt do anythang but seem to make her act even mor defyent... but i wasnt raized that way an i knew it wasnt necesary.!!!

She didnt have to "act-up" to get attenton because i was alredy givin her my attenton an i kep her occupied wit new thangs to do.!!!

Kids ant "bad"... its bad parents who trane good kids to be "brats".!!!

LOL, 9 hours a day thats nothing. You think your the only person who babysat the perfect little angel that could do no wrong ?

LOL. That's right. Parents who never discipline their kids and give them everything they want.

I thank hittin kids is abusive

Well then lets clear up those suposed "implicatons":::

I dont know about the rest of the time... but when you'r hittin you'r kids that ant treetin 'em wit respect... an i also thank punishment is abuce... but i have never implyed that no punishment equates to respect.!!!

You jus cant/wont escept the fact that children dont have to be hit to be well behaved.!!!

I ask you what shud a parent do when they have tried everthang includin whippin an ther kid still dont behave corectly... an you didnt answr... eh.!!!

I dont have to tell you... you jus admited it.!!!

But you'r takin it way to hard... what... do you thank you'r som sort of perfect parent... lol... well nobodys "perfect"... an for all i know those 6 times was the only times you was abusive... an if so you deserve a big pat on the bak... so cheer up... you'r prolly doin an above average job.!!!

Well beter late than never to stop hittin 'em... an i do hope you put forth mor effort toward trust an respect insted of punishments... i mean why not... what coud it hurt.???

Hmmm... well sinse you mentoned it... i prolly am 1 of a few that baby set 9 houres a day for 6 mounthes for a 1/2 - 2 year old that never needed punishment

You still dont get it... what a kid wants/needs is a parents time... an when that parent also gives ther child respect... "disipline" will be much less of an issue.!!!

    Clueless,

I don't hit my kids, I have spanked them 6 times total after they went over the line. So out of 5,840 days in their lives, they were spanked 6 times and they earned them.

    Absurd

99.9% of the time no. You can't get past the fact that for the kid to grow up and be disciplined and well behaved, you have to discipline them when they cross the line. It's called being a parent.

I did answer this, look at the previous posts. The answer was that the spanking was the end of it. The better question is what I have asked before. If your not going to spank a kid that crosses the line, what other form of discipline or punishment are you going to use.

Your answer, no punishment. Is not being a parent.
Others answer have been everything from kneeling in glass to mentally messing with them in front of their friends.

So those are SOOOO much better than spanking. LOL.

    Stop being a child.

At least this is reasonable. But we disagree on the abusive and we will never agree on that. If you knew the situations and were there and in the room and you knew my intent, you would know it was not abuse. But you can't know that.

how about beating them with a board with nails through it. That's the same as spanking as well.

When did I ever object to that. Of course they need our time, in fact and I agree that is the most important thing. This effects everything about them and of course without that they will act up in an effort to get attention.

But discipline being less of an issue is not the same as never needing discipline.

So ... as we reach 500 posts in this discussion, is the science part over? I mean, are we just going to fight over which of our Sciforums neighbors are abusing their kids?

It's like this bit I heard on the radio the other day. Some reporter was doing a story on people who drive fast. You know, ridiculously fast. The ones who go blowing by you on the freeway like a bad movie. And to the one, every fast driver the reporter talked to thought they were a good driver.

And, undoubtedly, some of them are.
