A couple years ago I posted the following:

The way I think of it is that for us men, sex is a need just as strong as the need for food. When we don't get it, it soon becomes all we think about just like when you miss a meal or two. The longer it's been, the stronger the desire. And just as average food tastes better when hungry, ugly chicks look better and better the longer it's been since orgasm for a man. Now this apparently made such a strong impression on some of our members that it was just recently quoted in a thread on testosterone levels and masturbation.

I've never been a woman, so I can't really say with 100% certainty how they experience sexual desire. But my opinion is based upon observable evidence.

Who pays for sex? Men. Even male prostitutes have mainly male patrons. Who consumes the vast majority of porn? Men. Who commits the most rapes? Men. Which sex is it that turns to homosexuality and even homosexual rape when sent to prison? Men.

On the other hand, who uses sex as a way to manipulate people? Women. Ever hear a man tell a women she'd not be "getting lucky" due to her misbehavior? Ever hear of a man sleeping his way to the top?

I'm not, in any way, claiming that women do not enjoy sex. Just that their desire for it isn't as strong as a man's.

So, ladies, tell me why I'm wrong...
 
I'm sure men have stronger desires for sex than women, but the description given in the opening post illustrating the severity seems heavily exaggerated.
 
The average women has less sex drive then the average man, but a women desire for sex is not of any different quality then a mans, its just on average of far less quantity. This is why their is some porn for girls, and chip&dales, and black male prostitutes for Japanese women tourist in Singapore (also known as the prostitute capital of the world). In short women don't just enjoy sex or have sex for pleasure but also have sex to satisfy a basic animalistic desire just like men do, it just that desire is much weaker in women then in men.

I'm pretty sure the desire is the same but it manifests differently. Males are more expresive in it while women are quit introvert abouth it... I think

Why didn't you say so in the first place? I asked where that quote came from because I knew it was pretty old and you chimed in that it was from two years ago, not mentioning the thread necromancy.

Regardless, it's still an interesting topic for discussion.

It's true there are some strip clubs with male strippers, but not many. My home town, for instance, has like 14 strip clubs (maybe more) and not a single one with male strippers.
In short women don't just enjoy sex or have sex for pleasure but also have sex to satisfy a basic animalistic desire just like men do, it just that desire is much weaker in women then in men.

no no what you said was women do not instinctualy desire sex, they don't have a growing compulsion between fucks, they do, it just not as fast growing or as strong as mens. You would know this if you ever been pounced on by horny women, it pity you.

Hey, I've been pounced on. My first real date was with an "older woman". She was a year or two ahead of me in school, I didn't even have my license yet (so she had to drive). She literally jumped on me while I was talking. We went to see The Verdict, and never even made it into the theature. (I never did see that movie)

But generally it's the man who must initiate things. The story I just mentioned was a case of me being very inexperienced with a girl who was pretty experienced.

very simple prove, go outside and ask the first girl you see if she wants to have sex, she's going to probably say no. But for guys you don't even need to go outside, wake him up from bed while sleeping and ask him to have sex and he will probably say yes if she is hot. Women enjoy sex just as much as men but they are more reserved and "classy" about it, again another result of sociological norm; no woman wants to be a slut and all women think their current relationship should be the best ever.
