Soft, I think - I haven't looked much at descriptions of pronunciation, but most people write it as Olly after hearing it. Should give you an idea. Tell him "nyah nyah" is not allowed.

I would assume that neener neener, while not the same words or spelling is much in the MEANING of Nyah Nyah. The spirit, not the letter, of the law is what counts.
Just flutter your eyelashes and repeat "if you really loved me you wouldn't want to gloat". And then if he still gloats, knife him, claim the burglar did it, get the insurance and find someone who won't gloat.

UK law is commonly said to be performed "the way it would be understood by the man on a number 13 bus" e.g. as it would be taken by an ordinary guy. There's a fairly old tradition here that the spirit is superior to the letter. And since I'm English and I just made that brand new law for you then he'll have to take my interpretation or do the washing and cooking for a week.

I believe you. I regularly deal with schoolkids and am disgusted with what passes for an education these days. Especially as a number of them are from my old school which had a superb reputation.

 

I'm equally surprised by how little people know these days. If its not on TV it never happened; in fact, it seems to me that people in the US are completely unaware of people outside it.(correct me if I'm wrong)

seriously, when i was in highschool i was one of the smarter students. i took all the advanced classes. but i learned that most of what i learned then were what students most everywhere else were learning in grade school.

and you are right. people here don't believe it unless it is televised. i'm learning more thru my myspace friends and you guys than i learned in 13 years of school.
