SciForums wiki brainstorm

well, nobody has even come up with content. Why bother making a wiki that is empty.

Then I suggest that we create the dedicated subforum and gather content before we create the wiki. It will give us an idea of the potential the wiki will have.

First though, I think we need to decide on the general scope of our content. Don't you agree?

Classic flame wars

The most classic of all flamewars started off rather innocently. The master of flame, ****, was attacked by the cowardly ******. This unprovoked attack was countered by a sickening series of blows below the belt by the long lost *************** who wrote 3434 words in a now classic post (ref needed) without resulting into profanity. Still you felt physically ill after reading it.

A team of assault moderators was erected under the leadership of the veteranary supermod *****. Their first attempts at breaking up the civil flame war resulted in an uncontrolled spread of terrorist posts all over the forum by supporting factions led by **** and ********.

After 3 weeks of commotion and a series of bans the peace returned in sciforums, but it never returned to innocence it once had known.

 

Athelwulf, just point out that some see a distinction between Darwinian evolution and evolution per se, with a brief explanation, I'll be happy to do that for you.

 

Must you say this in every post in every forum no matter the topic?

Can't we just write up an article for Wikipedia.com instead of going all out and making our own Wiki site?

So is this even going to work? I like the idea. However I don't think its going to be anything but an idea.

Once you get it started we can work on it. If you plan something out too much it never works.
