    has anyone read any good sci-fi commedy books recently

    im a big fan of red dwarf and hick hikers guide

    Robert Rankin is probably my favourite; particularly the Brentford trilogy. And the Armageddon trilogy.

    Other authors: Piers Anthony is usually pretty awful, but his "Prostho Plus" - about a cosmic dentist - is pretty funny.
    I'd also recommend Harry Harrison; in particular, the Stainless Steel Rat series.

    * I agree with Rde go with Robert Rankin. He is very comical and Im sure you will enjoy his books. Id recommend Armageddon the Musical
