Reuters: In the midst of the 'Great Recovery' from the 'Great Recession' that followed the 'Great Moderation' - John Williams, President and CEO of the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco (one of our illustrious Central Planners), said on Tuesday the he would be "open" to yet another of round asset purchases. Why? Because, you see, if inflation doesn't start picking up and if you don't start paying more for fuel, rent, university, medical care, food, taxes, insurance, clothing etc... then you won't be prosperous. You probably didn't know that you paying more is 'good' for you. Then there's the added problem of you 'delaying' your purchasing as you anticipate prices to fall. You know, because the credit card (with the 23% interest per annum) purchased pair of pants would be a tiny teeny bit cheaper at the end of the year. Not $100 but GASP 98.50. And The Gods only know you saving that teeny tiny bit at the end of the year is more than worth the wait. We can also look at PCs, large flat-screens and smart phones. Each year they're faster, cheaper and more powerful - which is why you've never purchased one in your life. Because if things don't become more expensive, then you just wait around. As an aside, did you know Monarchies are much more stable forms of government than Democracies? It's why, across history, people usually settle in under the rule of their betters. See, people like stability. Oh, they like to whine, but they suffer any indignation so long as they can predict tomorrow. It's why we just bailed out the richest 0.1% on the backs of the middle class and the poor. See, it's much more stable when we live as Peons and Tax Chattel under an ultra-wealthy Oligarchy - and that's what Amooricans like. Lots and lots of Regulations to keep them safe and ensure their HFCS infused boiled in ammonia washed pink-slime off-cuts are FDA approved and taste just as shit here as they do when they line up to buy them overseas on vacation. Stability. Predictability. That's what the good stuff is made of. Ah, Amoorika. Land of the Fleeced. Home of the Slave.
Not surprisingly you are misrepresenting Mr Williams's positions, statements and title. When you need to do so much misrepresenting there just might be a problem with your beliefs.

A) Williams is president, not CEO. There is a difference, a big difference. B) You misrepresented the "why" Williams would favor more QE IN YOUR OP. William's doesn't want QE to make life difficult for people.
