The House Energy and Commerce Committee voted 33-20 today in favor of a bill (H.R. 3548) requiring the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission to approve the $7 billion TransCanada Corp.’s proposed Keystone XL pipeline within 30 days based on their finding that the project is safe.

Which, after approval by the full House, will go to the Senate, and then (if it passes) to Obama.
