I saw someone suggest multiple physics forums to allow people to do things like ask questions and pose ideas in one forum, while leaving the other forum avilable for serious debates among physicists. To take this farther, why not do three or four others for other areas of interest? Several topics would be under each forum to save space, perhaps something like this:

    Q&A forums
    chemistry and physics/math
    biology/genetics and human science
earth science and astronomy, exobiology and cosmology
science and society and general science and technology

Ideally the knowledgable ones would stop in to answer the questions of those who know less, and "crackpot theories would be posted here as well, perhaps to be moved later on.

    Anyone have other/better ideas?
