I have found a recent interest the government of Singapore.

It's success has been largely due to its ambitious patriotism and soft authoritarian handling of society. The People's Action Party has cleaned up crime and illiteracy with deadly accuracy and the streets remain spotless and well-kept. It's ability to censor media and outlaw extremist groups (such as Jehova's Witness) has made it a filter for good cultural health. From third world country to first world economic power in just a few years, Singapore is certainly a case worth studying.

Does anyone have an educated opinion on Singapore, I am willing to learn more?
