We can thank God that you and those like you are not running the economy or government. We can thank God that there are some sane and knowledgable people like Bernanke out there who have studied the lessons of the Great Depression and come to some logical and well reasoned conclusions based on evidence and scientific principal rather than the rantings of some witch doctor trying to drive up some business. There is no doubt among knowledgeable and informed individuals, that had the bailouts not occured unemployment would have been much worse and for an extended period of time. Standing in front of a speeding freight train and saying there is no freight train does not make the freight train go away. For some strange reason, you and those like you want to rewrite history...when not proclaiming yourselves consititutional scholars.
you have yet to show me to be wrong. you only yell at the clouds that's it isn't true no matter how much the evidence shows other wise.
Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image! As you can see. A majority of the stimulus funds have been allocated to tax-cuts. Also, whenever the Democrats try to help out main street the Repulicans cry socialism, Communism and wealth redistribution.
Republicans gave us record-high DOW, employment, housing etc. Within a year after liberals took over CONgress we were screwed. EVERYTHING tanked. Gas was $1.50/gallon when Obama was elected. It's more than double that now. THREE Republicans beat democrats. And Democrats controlled CONgress since Janary '07. THEY caused the disaster. LIBERALS controlled CONgress since January '07. THEY have put us TRILLIONS in debt. More than all previous POTUS combined. CONgress passes budgets--NOT the President. The last 3 budgets came from DEMOCRATS. In 3 years, they increased annual federal spending by $900 billion! And now what? 12 trillion in debt?
Really? In what particular way? Im especially interested in events up to an including Bushs' last day. id like to know how the problems of Fannie & Freddy, Lehmans and AIG were all down to the Democrats decisions.
which came down from its 2 decade high from june when the average price of gas in the country 4 dollars which plumeted down word as it became more and more obvious for a sweeping dem victory. and the average has gone from 180 at the election to waver in between 250 to 270 for the most part.
you do know reagan and the 2 bushes presided over 85% of the accumelation of the countries national debt right?
You do have data to prove that? or are you just blowing hot air again. Remember your Government classes?, it is the House who controls the spending, and it is the Democrats who have had control of the House for the majority of that time.
Do you really have nothing better to do than misunderstand the english language and troll? what does preside mean? Do you understand the concept of a presidential veto? You know that of the three presidents I mention the one with the least republican control of congress had the debt go up the least and the one who had it go up the most had the most? You do understand that in most of those cases the dems caved to the wishes of the sitting republican president? The data has been shown to you by other and me time and time again(post 70 of this thread being the most recent). you ignore it because it doesn't fit into your view of rightwing mass spenders who claim to be small government good and democrats bad.
That will never happen because what you deem "evidence" is bullshit that agrees with lies I like. why should I provide evidence to some who can only cherry pick and misinterpert information? I would but you'd just stumble over it. and considering the evidence your demanding, your proof that you only started complaining about bush after he was a lame duck, has been given to you in the past. i still see you think personal attacks equal a good argument. No wonder no one takes you seriously.
What about after '05? Here is the numbers for the decade. 01/03/2000 $5,751,743,092,605.50 01/02/2001 $5,728,739,508,558.96 01/02/2002 $5,932,932,561,034.54 01/02/2003 $6,389,356,141,156.55 01/02/2004 $6,981,477,122,871.86 01/03/2005 $7,591,307,997,129.40 01/03/2006 $8,153,881,581,212.99 01/02/2007 $8,678,229,324,205.41 01/02/2008 $9,210,587,444,062.47 01/02/2009 $10,627,961,295,930.67 01/04/2010 $12,290,238,158,257.13 http://www.treasurydirect.gov/NP/BPDLogin?application=np Since '08 you can see a sharp increase, a little over 2 trillion dollars. Between '01-'03, with 9/11 and the start of two wars, Bush increased the debt a little under 1.2 trillion. Then I read this today... I guess that means ...01/03/11 $13,850,238,158,257.13
Excuses are not citation, or proof, and that is all you have offered. What personnel attack? you want to claim that requesting citation and documentation is a personnel attack? Only you pj.:roflmao
Below is a link to Obama talk to House Republicans. This looks to me like the House Republicans got their heads handed to them by President Obama by shining a little light on them. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w1-jasxb7NY This is the video that Fox News and Republicans don't want you to see and hear. http://mediamatters.org/research/201001300007
