    Maybe. How would we know?

But I wanted to write in just to say this:

Ha! I knew the Russians wouldn't be letting him go! Oh, you wonderful ex-Cold War goons, you. I should have written in with the prediction yesterday. I wonder if they're at least giving him a hot handler.

    Le Femme Nikita? Femme fatale?

Historically Russian women have been known for their capacity as Sniper's during Hitler's push on previously named (and multiply renamed) Leningrad.
During the cold war Russian women (Le Femme fatale) were used to spy on high level officials within their own country to see if they would leak more information than they should while in compromising predicaments. (Ergo, beware Russian Escort services)

Obviously if I was in Snowden's shoes I wouldn't trust anyone right about now, then again I wouldn't of rattled the Lion Bear cage before stepping in to put my head in one of their mouths.

What would be the point of being an international spy,
if you didn't get the odd beautiful Russian agent throwing herself at you?

Badger Terrorists are perhaps the only terrorists in the world who:
    1. Are in the right.
    2. Don't kill anyone.
They are exactly the kind of people PRISM and TEMPORA are looking for.

    TB or not TB

If everyone put a random 10 words out of that list at the bottom of every email, it would screw up PRISM completely.
    Or automatic generation. Same thing.
Someone will have bots churning them out right now.

Again, this was news to many Amerricans - to the point that downplaying it and obscuring it and avoiding complete or clear description and focusing on the perpwalk soap opera is working, tactically, as the official response: We have a majority of Americans agreeing that the program was acceptable and beneficial and no big deal and should be continued, without appearing to have noticed that they don't yet know what the operation actually was or is and still have no oversight or accountability for it.

Starting one day after it hit the papers, and continuing nonstop since, sure, one day - one day after another.

People smarter than me will already have thought of it.
The same type of bots that clog everyone's inbox with spam,
will soon clog up PRISM's filter with terrorspam.
Millions of slave computer's will churn them out by the billion.

Ecuador is quite nice this time of year.

There is always the potential of sock-puppeteered emails, bounced back and forth from accounts used by the same person. Conjecturing theoretical plans for deviant operations, using pseudonymous handler and pawn names, we pseudo-cryptographic messages existent within the message body.

    [edit]
Incidentally, The above post I wrote in one go then inserted a message, there was no editing prior to what I wrote or what was hidden, however the outcome was it fitted almost too perfectly. This is the reason why I've added this additional point, "Observer Theory" or the Copenhagen Interpretation, which ever you prefer. If we query, does the the observer observe an event, or does the event become what the observer observes?

we can consider that the NSA's "non-datamining dataminer" as being a potential to force a drawn observational model, this means that people could be entrapped into a causality based upon the attributed evidence whereby they become something that they wouldn't necessarily of if they had been given the true freedom's of not being observed.

Another interesting potential that I've considered is one in relationship to both Facebook messages and Twitter "tweets" that are done as "Jokes" being responded to heavily by the government. Perhaps these particular "messages" contained keywords that various spygroups had identified and made a pact in regards to how aggressively they would be policed, which in turn is the reason why these jokes ended up in both investigation and litigation. Especially if those acting on the filters were police and have the assumed responsibility of "dealing with those that waste police time".

Right, so you think that the overkill with regard to these people was deliberate.
Done so in order to cut down the amount of "noise"
    Yes, that might be true.

Everyone had suspicions that the internet was under surveillance.
What was not appreciated was the level and success of that surveillance.
The idea prevailed that the internet was too big to trawl successfully,
like trying to drink water from a hosepipe.
This leak has shown that tracking technology has caught up with the growth in communications.

But once that is known, the intelligence war can be taken up a step by those wishing to do so.
Some of those people may be foreign governments, some political activists,
and others the same kind of malicious people who make up viruses.
I think that life is going to be made harder for GCHQ and the NSA.
That is what they are so mad about.

    Message from NSA
We aren't watching this thread, but if we were we'd be fucking annoyed
at you guys thinking up ideas to wreck freedom and the American way of life.

    Message from GCHQ
    And British, old chap.

Actually there is potentially a "Fix" that could be rolled out.

When people get an account on websites or use services online, they usually are fast to click the "I agree" button on the Agreement form, what to my knowledge doesn't exist is an extract that should state something about how information can freely be handed over with or without warrant depending on if a person is deemed a threat either criminally or in regards to National Security.

If people had to click a button "I agree to Hitler", would they do it? (Obviously disagreeing would bar you from the service)

    [Edit:]

from Googles "Privacy" disclaimer (part of any google signup)
I couldn't see one on Microsofts (Sent a feedback form in on the subject which might cause them to amend or clarify)

    Google Privacy
    Oxymoron

If people had to tick a box agreeing to Hitler
and signing up the human race to eternal slavery,
    would they do it?
    Instantly.

Oh, why did I agree with Hitler, just for a Donut?

Doh! I knew I should have clicked that box!
If only the computer existed 70 years ago. Nazi's would be dropping doughnuts out of the zeppelin and the world wouldn't have to worry about the NSA because there would be no 'privacy', security or freedom at all.

The problem with data mining is the data can be processed with programs that can pick out any needle from a haystack. We can use it to sniff out terrorists but also girls under 17 who have abortion or Tea party members who plan to set up fund raisers. Whatever administration in charge can use it to spy on its enemies which may include the opposite party.

Tp preclude this President Obama said they would set up rules and laws to restrict the use of the data by the NSA. But President Obama has already demonstrated that he will not always enforce the law, such as immigration laws on the book. He even sued the state of Arizona for enforcing the existing federal laws so they would allow criminal behavior without anyway to defend themselves. This is the scam.

The problem with data mining is that the governments who practise it
have no more morals than the Mafia.
