    French is also widely spoken in Louisiana, although the Cajun dialect is far less comprehensible to a Parisian than Quebecois. French has as long a history as Spanish in North America and both have been spoken in North America, by people born in North America, longer than English.

    Considering that Canada has not be far from splitting in two in recent history, I cannot see them entering an agreement to join the United States. The governments just do not decide to make vast changes to their constitution's in order to combine.

    A UNION... DOESNT REQUIRE EACH NATION TO ACTUALLY give up its own gov't... or its constitution.... or anything...

    they all simply start using the same money... and share a central bank.

    Any attempt to manipulate the constitution or ammend or give it up, will all be a lie .... using the confussion generated by THE new union.

    The next thing will be creating a union of the North American Union and EU -
    they can call it the Western Union - ups, that name is allready taken .....
