Well, yeah. We're talking about Russians. During WWI they sent their men running into the guns. They even did it during WWII.

I don't think air lift was an option back in World War II. There will be more routes available, but there will be more vehicles to transport. There is also the human resources problem.
True, a lot of commanders want to earn the troop's respect by going on the frontlines themselves, that cancels out or even overshadows the hatred in some instances.
I didn't mention air lift. I wrote "shipping". One reason the M26 Pershing was used so late (and in such small numbers) was that army command claimed they could ship 3 Shermans (~30 tons) with the same effort/ space/ requirements as 1 Pershing (~45 tons). More routes - more options for advance route. Like any army has ever said "don't build any more tanks/ planes, we haven't got the men to crew them".
were spending so much attention on tanks, we can not forget the sea, My favorite ww2 ship is the HMS hood, my great uncle died on it, here is a Little tribute i liked and ws amazed that some one had the picture of the crew, my uncle is in the top right corner. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k4sJ6Zcc5vI&feature=watch_response_rev As for the most powerful ship i have no clue, there were some nasty one's built. like the Battleship Bismarck http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bKv8xtiS8QI&feature=fvw
Tanks weren't normally shipped with ammunition. Beside the point: they were recruiting young boys and old men, and not particularly building tanks by that stage... They couldn't have built tanks even if they had had the men (or have time to train crews).
I didn't know that, thanks Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image! Hitler Youth, old men and very little regular troops was all they had to defend Berlin.
German artillery was insane also, German railway gun "GUSTAV" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_1HF3Jr5w9w&feature=related
Heh, when the B.E.F. was shipped to France at the start of the war some of the tank units didn't get any ammunition - it had been re-routed (for some reason) and was in storage in England when the tanks were deploying in France...
Wow. Good old Quarter Master Quort foul ups. (May have spelled some of that wrong) It was more than likely a mistake.
maybe but German rail guns deserve credit. BIG GUNS & BIGGEST GUNS http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zf2_eX6q7pg&NR=1
