Just planning and testing all the ideas to trraform Mars will produce a lot of earthly benefits such as converting desert to farmland and hightech living that we will need here on earth.

It may take 150 years to terraform Mars. But once that is done, we may use that place for growing food with robots running the place. By 2050, our computer technology will be so advanced that robots can run the place independently.

Honeymooning or vacationing in Mars should not cause too much problem. Oh, yes - the rocket technology needs to be scarpped. I propose a fusion reactor based technology. If Lorentz force can work in deep space, that should solve the speed problem.
