Anyways Knight Rider used to be association for me with Michael Knight's series...but now it is association for me with SpaceShipOne
They will be using a stock Mustang Shelby Cobra with Artificial Intelligence as movie magic...I enjoyed the original series....then we all grew up, so I hope they are keeping up with the times for their old fans...
I think the new Knight Rider looks clunky. There are so many cars I'd rather have. The original Knight Rider was fine...it seemed stange even at that tender age that turbo boost could only be used once per week, for some undisclosed reason. I assumed it somehow related to the same limitation that plagued the General Lee.
Yeah I liked Viper . There were a couple of different incarnations of the show though , one with Dorian Harewood as the inventor and then another with a very beautiful young lady as the scientist / technician who's character I think was Dorian's characters daughter . If I remember correctly it started out as a network show and then the second incarnation of the show was in sindication .
BURBANK, Calif. February 18, 2008 Paced by the made-for-television movie event "Knight Rider," which scored the highest 18-49 rating for any movie on any network in nearly three years, NBC won Sunday night in adults 18-49 and other key demographic measures, according to "fast affiliate-based" "live plus same day" viewing figures from Nielsen Media Research. ------------------------------- I enjoyed it even with too many commercials. Two biggest flaws: 1. With A.I. and national security at stake, there was no military or Defense Intelligence (DIA) protecting KITT , Prometheus or the humans.... 2. KITT is supposedly the most advanced A.I. yet got almost hacked by a human. These writers do not know what A.I. is. It is like a Monkey outwitting a human.....
It does not need boosters with 550 HP and can go over 200 MPH. When the series starts, they may put a NO booster for jumps. The real stock Shelby GT500KR has over 450 HP
watch it on my link I provided, it sucked I agree Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image! Kitt lacked personality...
It came across as a 2 hour Ford commercial with the acting, plot and script quality of a low budget porno that tries too hard to have a storyline. Also, KITT sounds like a creepy middle-aged pedophile.
540 HP to be exact. Stock GT500s have 500HP. In other words, it was basically the same quality filming that was in the original series, adjusted for 2008? I agree on the 2hr Ford commercial. I think Ford jumped on this show so they could boost their sales. I will always see K.I.T.T. as a Trans Am. Why couldn't he have been one of these instead? Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image! but with these wheels... Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image! I wonder if C.A.R.R. is going to make an appearance in this show. And will he be a GT500KR like K.I.T.T.?
I thought the show was pretty good. I wasn't impressed but I wasn't disapppointed either...After all I was expecting complete crap... One things for sure...getting this guy to cry is like water from a lemon...either that or he can't act.
Well, I watched the original series too. Hasselhoff's overacting was hilarious and every episode had at least 2 moments where you think "My God I can't believe they just did that, how lame.". This one.. I dunno, it seems like a cross between The O.C. and some Michael Bay movie. Call me overly critical, but it was just too bad to be entertaining.
