    That would make a good cartoon: Long-haired ape invents fire and incinerates himself. Short-haired ape warms himself by the fire and thinks, "Hm... this might be worth keeping."

    I take it you've never been to Alabama.

    Anyway, we were talking about the hairs of the head, which are fewer in number than the hairs of the body, excepting for the skunk ape.
