Is insanity unique to humans?

    if you see insanity as something statistical, then there will always be subjects that are deviant, no matter if you are human or animal, and the more standarddeviations away from the middle you are more "insane"?
    arent there animals that completely destroy each other for that, drive them away or kill them?

    but i never heard of a schizofrenic lion. but that does not exclude that they dont exist of course, how the hell would you examine that if he is not in a katatonic pose of an "eating gazelle".
    personally, i dont think that animals will go that far in mental illnesses, ill go with the statistical deviance

    Good point, when freedom is taken away from you nothing really matters. If you will released this bear, he will hardy find himself. Not many people knows how hard is to trust at all when your released, if you are of course. I know how it feels when your honor and everything you are is taken away from you. I stay alive but almost go mad.
