You know full well that the majority of civilian deaths in Iraq are caused by savage Iraqi terrorists which have waged a war of civilian terror which daily kills hundreds of Iraqis. Indeed, you know this because you have admitted this is the case in Iraq.

The United States has spent billions of dollars more than it has to to make precision bombs to minimize the collateral damage from air strikes. It also practices restraint in military action, even in the face of a war which necessitates brutality but we are too "good" to do so.

Now apply that to the Japanese civilians bombed in Hiroshima and Nagasaki.

 

All very interesting, except the US invaded Iraq.

Did you know that Japanese honor demands no surrender? Fight to the death?

Do you know how many Japanese surrendered when we took Tarawa?

Side note: Do you know how few Japanese were killed by the two nuclear bombings in comparison to the typical amount of civilian casualties in typical strategic bombings?
Also compare this with the number of deaths that would have occurred, on both sides, if the war had moved to a US invasion of Japan.

They're fabrications. The whole thing was cooked up by the Truman administration to convince the USSR that the Manhattan project actually worked. The bomb wasn't perfected until after the Korean war. That's why Truman removed MacArthur- all that talk of a bomb they didn't have. America couldn't afford to lose that much face, after the staged bombings in Japan.

We're actually proud we nuked Japan. They were aggressors and got what was coming to them. We saved, also, perhaps millions of Japanese more from a lengthy invasion that would have necessitated carpet bombing likely down to the town and village level.
