No, no, that was me searching for reasons why I might like to believe a story like that. As in, what are the reasons that I (myself) would wish for this to have happened). From what little I know about Jimmy, he seems as on the level as you could be (spiritually) considering the circles he must have traveled in.

What?! No! I search for why things like the Jimmy Carter thing would make me feel better about the world or myself if I though them to be true. (Like Mexican drug smugglers believing that carrying a picture of the patron saint of smugglers will keep them safe. Obviously that is a behavior that has been learnt or taught through what ever experience). Once I've subtracted as much of my subjective perspective as I can with regards to things like that, then I'm more comfortable believing them.
