There's entirely too much certainty in this thread. And arguing about inconsequential shit for which we cannot possibly have answer--like speculating about what someone may or may not have been implying with a statement like, "Nixon was/was-not impeached." The actual details are fine and appreciated, but the speculation about whether so-and-so is misinformed about what stage of the impeachment process was reached in '74 is ridiculous. Frankly, writing speculative fan fiction about the script writers for 24 is, somehow, even less a complete fucking waste of time than that shit.

For the record, billvon asked, "Does that mean that any president who plays golf can be removed from office?" Any president can be removed from office. Any president who plays golf can be removed from office. "If he plays to point of neglecting his duties" provides some context for how golf playing may be a factor in the removal.

Eisenhower had a 9 hole golf course installed at Camp David.
Kennedy had separate bedrooms installed so he didn't have to sleep with his wife.
Johnson had an outdoor barbecue, big enough to cook 1/2 a steer, installed
and Nixon had a double scoop figure eight swimming pool installed

    all at taxpayers expense
    but hey
    these guys deserved it.

that depends, did it take place in the everglades? if so yes yes it would.

No he would be discharged for sex. this is exactly like claiming if someone shoots and kills someone that their not being charged for shooting someone but for murder. Your not this stupid. Quit playing at being stupid and act like an adult.

well yeah he's intentionally misrepresenting my comments.
correction yes he does. because their is nothing oblique in my posting. I've 3 times now 4 explicitly laid out exactly the circumstances I was talking about and he has repeatedly responded with strawmans and what ever idiocy this other post i responded to is.

untrue. I expect people to take the same care that i do which is far more than your accusing me of. ITx you and billvon with the lazy argument.
forgive me I take misrepresentation of my argument as an afront. I deal in good faith I dislike it when its not returned.
their is not anything sloppy with my logic. you got mine and billvon roles backwards.
yes he is calling me out on a strawman and yet I'm the one with sloppy logic.

OK then. All crimes and accidents are caused by everything. Your trip, your mother, your father, the airplane, the alligator, the water, evolution, the Coke you bought before you went into the everglades, the media . . . .

I suspect if you weren't online you wouldn't be saying such silly things. Being online somehow causes some people to put reason and logic aside in an attempt to "win at all costs."

    Have fun with that.

Except then you confirm this bizarrely tortured logic in another example, by insisting that someone could be discharged - not for conduct unbecoming - but for sex.

So, yes. You are explicitly stating a falsehood, no one is misrepresenting it.

And - not to be satisfied with that - you then conflate sex with murder:

Sex is not illegal. Shooting and killing someone is.

But you're yanking our chain, of course. You must be.

It doesn't take two people to make matchsticks of your version of logic; billvon's doing just fine.

Do you seriously want to be treated as if your a moron? I honestly cannot believe anyone could be honestly as stupid as you two come across, this has to be an act right?
[/QUOTE] can you make an argument that isn't a strawman?

so basic logic is silly to you? no I would say the same thing IRL because basic logic and common sense still stand.
Says the guy flailing to defend a strawman. mirror mirror on the wall

What tortured logic? that you seemingly have a problem with reality and an issue with semantics that prevents you from thinking logically. Your making the same argument as those who claim the Nazis are socialist because its in the name. Its stupid when they do it, and its stupid when you do it.

This is laughable considering the lie you utter you next sentence. Yes you are misrepresenting. I'm willing to allow its out of ignorance but its still a misrepresentation

I did no such thing. This you explicitly stating a falsehood. The actual claim is that claiming you got arrested for a crime is not in fact distinct from the actions that got you charged with the crime. Yours and billvons sophistry will not be tolerated.

well you know unless its nonconsensual, or with a kid, or with a corpse, or with an animal, or in public. See this sentence here shows yours and billvon's naked dishonesty. I stated that in such circumstance that you can be arrested for doing an actvity. Than you guys trolled me for arguing that I said you could be arrested for just doing the actvity. I repeated my assertation and asked why you were using a strawman and you guys continued to make arguments based on a lie. Do nither of you know what the word can means? because your entire argument revolves around not knowing the definition of a verb.
So you don't actually have a point and want to continue with a dishonest charade, pretending you don't understand simple english?
