    People respond to (mostly African) e-mail scams asking you to send them money. The scambaiters lead them on, often asking the criminals to pose for them in outrageous costumes, or attach a toilet to a bicycle and ride around town. The baiters adopt a false persona, like a little old lady, and string them along for weeks and weeks, tying up the scammer's time and effort.

    Because of e-mail scams, people has become rather suspicious, distrustful when they get an e-mail from a stranger (from someone who is really honest).
    Some people are getting paranoid ...
