I need information - lots of it

I'm trying to figure out a way to get newsfeeds, articles, scientific papers, etc. all about the same subject - and preferably from decent sources although that's not uber high priority. For example when I google "String Theory" it seems like a brute force kind of process where I spend half my time wondering if the information is acurate or just drivel warped to fulfill some personal viewpoint. Does anyone know a way, or a program that acts like a kind of intelligent search engine? Maybe RSS feeds from MIT or something lol...

Assuming this is limited to internet.........

The simple answer to this would be using Google's advanced features.
Another method would be using a "metasearch engine" that compiles its results from all the different search engines simultaneously.
