Just open a bottle of beer, most bugs will crawl in and, being unable to get out again, they will inevitably drown.
Yes, alcohol also affects insects, at least to some degree. But they also seem to like the smell of fermented stuff, so beer is a good bait. Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image!
I hit them with objects. I've become quite a skilled mosquito hunter =) Other bugs may live; and I don't tell anyone they're there, so that nobody hits them. How about rubbing alcohol? And, how do you know that alcohol has effect on insects? I mean, you can't really tell if they're drunk or not, they fly in circles when in a sober state. Um, bugs are attracted to sweet stuff; maybe that's why they're attracted to beer. When beer dries up, it's all sticky and sugary, no? Darn, I need a bottle....
True, but at least flies can walk normally, at least before they suck up some alcohol from a table, then they get some problems, depending on the amount of alcohol.
Well, seems like six legs are harder to control when drunk, meaning that them little suckers are not really able to move any more, also preventing them from taking off. Of course, maybe they are not drunk then, might also be that the alcohol poisons them...anyway, it resembles the behaviour of drunk mammals, except that I never saw a fly throwing up after too much drink.
Butterflies get drunk off flowers, the tiny amount of the good stuf in the flowers is just too much for them. Like vodka and dudish dude.
if there's a bug in my room, i tell my brother... he takes it out from my room... bugs are scary, but pretty cool also.
oh, come on, you talk about bugs as if they were a threat to your life Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image! or it is just to satisfy your hunter instincts? great progress in that case, from a mamooth to a fly
It depends on the type of "bugs" you're refering to. There are so many different types that are useful and beneficial to humans that I don't even bother them and leave them alone wherever they are unless they crawl on me then I gently brush them off with my hand or a paper.
of course it's not as bad when you kill a bug as when you kill a human. bugs aren't like us! and if killing was wrong, why would nature kill?
I catch mosquitoes with one hand, if you try to get them with two hands they will be blown away before your hands close. otherwise I try to just throw them outside, its part of my moral philosophy. what makes a spider worse than a rabbit, squirrel, or any other animal?
