It was a play on the name, related to Tashja's post about angels being particles. Think about it. Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image!
I did not know that. Even from where comes the name "Luceafăr", I did not know. Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image!
I do not know how they fight. But as all of us are immortal the object of fighting can never be the elimination of the other. Fighting can mean any kind of struggle. Not just physical. The bible says that the angels in heaven will have a war one day and 1/3 of them will be cast into the lake of fire. along with their leader satan. All Praise The Ancient Of Days
in order to address the OP question, some verses have to be study'd in context.. although i do like to speculate on all sorts of subject matter, i believe the truth of angels lie in the metaphor, (what are they trying to teach)
Dywyddyr, Yeah! whatch got? Ezekiel 18:4 Behold, all souls are mine; as the soul of the father, so also the soul of the son is mine: the soul that sinneth, it shall die… Eccl 12:7 For then the dust will return to the earth, and the spirit will return to God who gave it. (God saidPlease Register or Log in to view the hidden image! "Where were you when I laid the foundations of the earth ... and all the sons of God shouted for joy? (Job 38.4a, 38.7b) Praise God, all His angels ... Let them praise the name of the Lord, For He commanded and they were created. (Ps 148.2a, 148.5) When death is discussed in the bible (or any scripture) it means 'separation'. The angel have a job, and that is praise God, so the people of the resurrection will be just like angels, so far as praising God. jan.
So angels have souls? And they sin? Okay. So what. Could god not have created them as undying? All you've done here is managed to show that the bible contradicts itself. If angels have souls AND if they also sin.

And the second was named Asbeel: he imparted to the holy sons of God evil counsel, and led them astray so that they defiled their bodies with the daughters of men. And the third was named Gadreel: he is who showed the children of men all the the blows of death, and he led astray Eve, and showed [the weapons of death to the sons of men] the shield and the coat of mail, and the sword for battle, and all the weapons of death to the children of men.''Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image!
Uhm forgive my ignorance, but aren't angels already in heaven? If you could die in heaven, where would you go to then? And if they are not in heaven where do they reside?
Okay. But it's not what NMSquirrel said: Step 1: My quote, which was from the bible, says they don't die. Step 2: Your claim, also based on the bible, is that they do. Step 3: That is a contradiction. Step 4: This contradiction is in the bible. Conclusion: the bible contradicts itself. Got it yet?
Dywyddyr, There's nothing wrong with that, as that's how they are created, but like all creatures, they have a free will. Your quote from the bible says no such thing, that is how you have interpreted it, and I'm willing to bet you're not going change your outlook. Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image! This is a snipet into your whole attitude regarding God, and scripture. jan.
The angels don't fight god or other angels they do as they are told those are lies from the bible. Peace
Please explain how you equate "angels have no choice but to obey" with having free will. No? Etc. etc etc. Here. Now tell me again how "the bible says no such thing". Wrong. That's what it explicitly says. Correction: this is an example of your outlook. You consider that YOU are right, even to the extent of denying (without giving any support for your denial) anything (including the bible) that disagrees with your interpretation. Fail.
