it is what I believed earlier...but now I question this since I believe consciousness can be more than just complex neurological impulses in the brain. So I really cannot answer that.
So you say its in part brought on by complex neurological processes in the brain, and in part by something else ? Can you describe the something else ? Is it supernatural ?

I feel like a mouse in a cage... supernatural is anything that has no scientific proof to prove it...but is indeed capable of being proved by science. Also supernatural is that which does not follow logic of life... of course than what is my definition of logic of life? well I judge myself and my consciousness based on examples of physics and surrounding environment. Everything is recycled...and in that I see logic to assume that my consciousness does not disappear but is recycled.
Oh yeah, now i remember. I agreed with your concept of reincarnation, but i don't know why you keep calling it reincarnation though. Recycling is a better word. Your definition of reincarnation is that we are recycled by nature after we die. I agree with that. Please answer this question from a previous post: If you do not believe in the supernatural, consciousness must be caused solely by the body. Agree ?
Then that's a personal definition. Scientifically if it's supernatural then it is NOT capable of being proved by science. That's wishful thinking, not logic. Will the sun get recycled when it burns out? What about when it expands and envelops the Earth, will the Earth come back? What about energy from petrol (for example) - once used it's gone...
I think (hope) he means recycling like this: Our body will be broken down into molecules which will be taken in by seedlings for example. In this way a part of us is ' reincarnated' as part of a plant.
Universe dies and is reborn and suns are formed from that which was once part of the sun. Earth-like planet will be born in next cycle...next big bang.
But that doesn't mean his consciousness (i.e. Draqon qua Draqon) will come back. And since he will have children when he's still alive then it's not "recycling" is it?

Why is it that people that believe in reincarnation always think they will return as a lower form of life. I always here, "if I come back I will return as an eagle", Why wouldn't they want to come back as a person?:shrug::shrug:
