Thought of this in another thread. If we could manipulate genes to avoid inherited diseases, how far should we go, and what exactly would people believe to be a disease ? For example, A friend of mine believed that people can get more pimples than others due to a genetic defect. And would we trust our governments to regulate such practices ? If anyone's read Star Trek's Eugenic's wars, the issue was brought up there too, albeit in a more dramatic context (i,e. KHAAAAAN)..
