(S)he actually has a good point. I just couldn't resist the joke about how (s)he said to start throwing. We should start posting more thought-provoking threads in Free Thought. Everything has gotten boring.

    1. "Hey you, be more enlightning!"
    2. "Why the hell aren't your ideas more thought provoking you piece of shit?!"
    3. "Get back to idea making now!"
    4. "You call that insightful?"
    5. "Stop blubbering, do think Descartes cried when his boss yelled at him?"

These "Free thoughts" motivations were brought to you by Pepsi.

    Take the Pepsi Challenge!

even if we all discover something "lost, new, or thought provoking...."

Who is to say it will have any affect on the world?

FYI: I got my own ""poem"" buffys: (I know you did not say a poem, but in my mind you did....)

    Life, Follow Media
    Listen to the leader
    Free Speech is void
    Money, Money, Money...
    Follow Rules....
    No matter WHAT???
    2000 and beyond....
    Life is gone...
    What shall become of man?
    Pointless....
    Silence....
    Death!

Who is smart enough to understand that?

Why not use gene manipulation to restructure humans to be able to live on distant planets? We could alter certain genes and make a human be able to breathe CO2 instead of O2 for example. Or change the genes to make a human eat soil instead of living things to be able to survive.

There's a idea, think it will ever work?

the illusion of movement to offset this foul ennui, the screech in the white that fluctuates devoid grows fetching. I strive to be more gentle...they're just getting to know me...

soil? Meh, that sounds a bit farfetched...you could try nutrient shots or those pesky tubes they give to astronauts so they can eat in space, it would also take tons of genetical engineering to make humans breathe CO2, unless you go scifi and blend the dna of plants with that of humans...all this talk reminds me of a couple of Christians I encountered just recently "Thou shalt not play with God's dice!

that wouldn't work too well, biologically the human body wouldn't be able to handle alot of the gases. You would need to completely reconstruct the human body if you wanted to eat dirt, and alot of ketchup............

Actually eventually genetic enginering will allow many thing similar to this to happen.
    Prime canidates are:
    Europa(massive oceans)
    Mars(when it's partially teraformed)
Even Jupiter and the other gas planets(just become a large ballon creature)

Also extreme creatures like the water bear would allow many other things too.
(If anyone knows about the water bear you will know what Im talking about)

bah there are already people who eat dirt, that's no fun. Need something more original. Like what you ask? I say eating rocks. Then we would have more dirt.....erm...or something like that. But we'd have to engineer some mighty fine jaws of some sort.

Would you rather have a new thread be started on the same topic?

This seems to be a growing problem with forums.... Others want poeple to search the forums before posting topics, but again they do not want poeple reviving old threads....

    GEEEEE! What can you do?

Nothing wrong with it.... But our thread started, gabrial, has been very active... so it is not like he can argue his topic.....

I still do not understand what he was trying to get across anyways.
