    AJAX. wtf is that?!

    Again ... wtf!! can I buy it? Can I install it? does it animate shit? Can it play music? Show me something "cool" done with AJAX. Flash is something easy (and fun) enough for an 8 year old to learn and powerful enough to launch a successful business or career. I scrub the scum off my bathroom tiles with AJAX.

    Ajax and Flash don't occupy the same niche. Ajax doesn't do SVG or have a framework for animation and is limited to http. Ajax is just about asynchronous communication; it doesn't actually do anything great on the clientside.

    Possibly you could buy a propriety framework. You can install Apache XMLRPC. It can animate shit and play music, just not especially well.
