i would like to happily report that my first game of Medieval Total War: Viking Invasion has ended with my total german dominance of eurasia/northern africa. all hail the new Holy Roman Emperor!

I follow the spartan rule. Once the king has an heir or there is a succesor the king will always go into battle. The king has to lead by example. IF not the king then the sucker next in line for the throne. Life is about dying after all. I must confess I have read too much about alexander the great. I even started following his tactics. Works...kid of...if you use your imagination.
my logic was that controlling the vatican let me kill whoever i liked....its no fun having everyone calling crusades on you. especially when you are centrally located.

yeah. catholicism is tasty. on a side note, i would let the pope take over whenever he showed back up....declare a crusade, finish it, and kill the pope again. very fun! i killed russia and the byzantines by using a crusade to bypass poland and hungary.
