PEOPLE...we need more generals to play medieval total war! No need to buy the game. It works perfectly without a key on our secret server. You can have up to 8 frikking armies on one map. All looking to kill each other. man...this is better than bagdad!
I would play, but I've never player M Total War before and I'd get my ass kicked. What version is it? The original?
I was already playing shogun total war before MTW. That game used to kick my ass until i found out the secret to success. Defense is a killer for the opponent. You have to be a fucking sneaky bastard. There are a few ways to success but the best is still 'kill the king'. Kill the king and the men become chickens. In defense the king is best killed with archers. But your defensive line has to be solid and the king needs to come close enough. The other way is to be better then your opponent. Nowadays I totally changed tactics. I skip on defense and always go for the attack. Kill the king. Or break through the lines with cavalry and attack from behind. Infantry has two purposes. One group is there just to hold the line. (spearmen or higher class spearmen). Another is to counterattack, or break through (generally swordsmen). Cavalry goes through a gap or goes around the lines. Going through the gap often goes extremely wrong. In the sense that if the timing is wrong they get slaughtered. Around the lines can be done at certain time points. Immediately, or first let the battle develop a bit.
