    Yeah, I think he deserves respect. Of course, I certainly don't agree with what he did to the Jews, the disabled, and the gays. But he was a brilliant politician, and probably the best orator in history. He pulled his country out of the Great Depression years before any other counry. He restored a sense of German national pride. Hitler did some terrible things - a lot of terrible things - but think what the world would be like now if it weren't for him. Germany would not exist, most likely, screwing with the balance of power, which would probably eventually have caused a world war between the British Empire and the French Empire. The Soviet Union would have taken advantage of the situation by spreading the influence of communism farther than it ever did during the Cold War, because America would not be a superpower and therefore would be unable to combat the Russians, and fighting in Europe would prevent the creation of a NATO, leaving all of Western Europe except Britain and France vulnerable to Commie takeover, Japan would probably control all of East Asia because the Chinese would not have been able to repel them, and America wouldn't have entered. And of course that's all speculation, and who knows how it would have turned out. But you never know...
