Desperate denial of General Relativity by The God

Well all know that ; Alex ; this site though is not allowed to open its eyes/and / or mind . It just can't .

It is stuck in the past .

It does not evolve .

River its not a case of being stuck in the past we are where we are ...the present.

There are many folk who think they have the answers and they may have them but we must have a system.
The system is mainstream and this wonderful site supports mainstream and they are most reasonable.
You can't just say stuff is crap without something better to replace it.
But if it makes you happy let me tell you I have various new models ready to go I just need a few billion dollars for experiments and to employ an army of scientists. But rest assured I have all the answers.
Alex

continued....
for now ee have models that tell us their must be mass we can't see for our models results.
Personally I think dark matter will prove a wild goose chase but until a better model comes along its goose chasing for me..
I am sorry I am not on a computer otherwise I could write better for you.
Bottom line is if you think GR etc is wrong build a better model.
That is what I sm trying to get you to understand.
Alex

What makes you think that I don't understand this. If you feel, that dark matter is bad, then you do not have to accept it just because some prevalent models say so...This is no argument that let the faulty ones continue just because we could not get better ones....

Yes, you can always say that they are not faulty....that stand is always open for you.

I don't have to accept anything that is true.If I am correct and dark matter turns out to be incorrect it will be a professional who proves it not me and in the meantime hey should I bother folk with what is at the moment nonsense.I don't need to be right or prove anything...I don't care finally science works it out.
Alex

The thing is that Alex as a lay person realises that what he believes or choses not to accept is just a personal view....You on the other hand seem to be saying all cosmology is wrong and you are its saviour...yet you offer nothing as an alternative.
An Electrician is a noble trade my friend as is my trade, but we are not really qualified to question the accepted evidence based models of mainstream unless we have something to replace them.
DM in the beginning was a fudge factor, but in the many tears since it was first proposed, it has gained tremendously and is now accepted. Why? Not just because it is "mainstream idea", but because of observational evidence such as the following........

NASA Finds Direct Proof of Dark Matter
For Release: August 21, 2006

NASA RELEASE 06-297

X-ray/Optical Composite of 1E 0657-56
Press Image and Caption
Dark matter and normal matter have been wrenched apart by the tremendous collision of two large clusters of galaxies. The discovery, using NASA's Chandra X-ray Observatory and other telescopes, gives direct evidence for the existence of dark matter.

"This is the most energetic cosmic event, besides the Big Bang, which we know about," said team member Maxim Markevitch of the Harvard-Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics in Cambridge, Mass.

Gravitational Lensing Explanation
These observations provide the strongest evidence yet that most of the matter in the universe is dark. Despite considerable evidence for dark matter, some scientists have proposed alternative theories for gravity where it is stronger on intergalactic scales than predicted by Newton and Einstein, removing the need for dark matter. However, such theories cannot explain the observed effects of this collision.

"A universe that's dominated by dark stuff seems preposterous, so we wanted to test whether there were any basic flaws in our thinking," said Doug Clowe of the University of Arizona at Tucson, and leader of the study. "These results are direct proof that dark matter exists."

The gravity perspective on the Universe is not the only one.

Serious contention ?

It is old and out dated .
Being old and out dated doesn't necessarilly validate or invalidate any theory.
Gravity exists and is described admirably by Newtonian and GR.
Live with it.
Oh, and no they aren't my theories.

Editor's Note (Feb. 11): Gravitational waves predicted by Albert Einstein's general theory of relativity have been detected directly at last. Einstein was right. Gravity waves are a frequency of vibration .

I spent years developing ideas as to how gravity worked only to find Le Sage came up with my idea in 1745.
But in the process it became clear the math was impossible for me.
And so I respect GR.
Unfortunately I had no idea SR or GR existed as I was after all a lay man.
I do think there is no force of attraction and gravity may work externaly which may explain star rotations..but I ramble my point is what ever I have thought about would have been thought about by anyone interested in gravity and no doubt all have moved on past Le Sage...leave it to the professionals they may just know something about matters they earn their living by.

As I like reminding people of Alex, these forums are for learning, having fun, and catching up on the latest science. They are also open to fools and those immature people like the troll at present doing the rounds.
Science is a discipline of progression, guided by the scientific method and peer review. They may not be perfect but they are the best we have and heads and shoulders above everything else propagated by our trolls.
This is also a forum that lets everyone have there say, right, wrong or indifferent, and is much more lax then others. Some here [including the present troll] would not get a look in over there at cosmoquest, and/or are already banned fulltime!

The sorriest part of the trolls we have is there habit of asking questions in the sciences and obviously never prepared to accept any answer that differs from there own fabricated preconceived view.
Thankfully, they are now being moved as this thread has been.

I have many speculative ideas that I like, but I remain grounded without inflated ego and delusions of grandeur, realising that is all they are....speculative.
As I mentioned elsewhere, I believe we are approaching another decade of great discoveries, one of them I hope is the confirmation of life off this earth, at least before I kick the bucket.!

Speculative ideas do you pad ? But you don't have the balls to explain them or even to put them out in the open on any thread . I await your " Speculative ideas " and the depth of these speculative ideas really are .

Yes Paddoboy I agree in fact if there is any meaning to life it is that we are here to learn.
I took look forward to news of life and I bet it will come soon.
We are so fortunate to have lived with the progress.
I was fortunate to see sputnik in dark sky directly above when 10 years old.
I worked for a man who was alive before man took his first flight so a wonderful span.
And the net..what a wonderful opportunity to learn...lectures at Stanford by a leader in his field...so I am expecting life to be found to top the cake.

Yep, I remember staring at the night blackness, trying to distinguish that little blue dot moving across the sky relative to the stars. :)
It was a great time despite the cold war tension, which as kids we didn't really notice.

But no stars ; just blackness .
