My feeling about the problem in the discrepancy between science and Genesis is the word universe. My view genesis is talking about the earth only and if we look from this position there is not much discrepancy. Thinking from earth position science actually verify many points . Genesis does not say God made the universe , but "1 In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth " and from here all is related to the earth , do we believe the earth was covered with water ? How do you brig dry land forward ? By evaporation and by freezing water at the poles , and so on . the sun could have been in position but perhaps clouds were very heavy . The moon come later from a collision of earth and some other large object . Then evolution of animals proceeded and at the end come man . Adam and Eva is an allegory .

Some people think it's the blue ones. Some people think it's the red ones. Some people think it's the the yellow ones, and some people think it the spotted ones. Personally, I don't think it's any of them. See what I mean about believing in one less than the others?

    I'm beyond reproach!

Why do you use the word theory , The fact is that we are here , this is not a theory , the question should be how did it happen and this is for man to learn and we are in the process of learning .
What I think, for us human is important is life and environment, We can see in our solar system we have a variety of environment yet as we know at the present earth is the only one with life . So the question how did it started or who made it or who created life ?

I've seen you argue in the physics section here. Just imagine how you'd be in the religion section!
    oh, wait...you don't believe though...sigh.

I believe in mass evolves to space! Objects move away from their core!

Yes. Life is motion. The earth is life. The sun is life. The galaxy is life.

That's fine. What do you believe caused the Big Bang?

Again, the universe is an object, and it came from its core and is moving away while it is expanding. There are many universes orbiting that core along with our universe. That core is also orbiting its core and on and on. Objects are components of larger objects. Do you grasp that concept in its entirety?

There comes a time when men (and women) of the faith have to come together in sincerity and with the Highest motives, before whatever God(s) there may be, and write down a better set of religious teachings and create a better paradigm for future generations to believe in. There comes a time when the most honorable, wise and loving human being(s) has to take the role of God and set down new principles, paradigms and teachings for others of faith to live by. Bronze age teachings will have to be replaced by a dawning Age of Light, and centuries of accumulated cynicism will sooner or later have to be healed. Whatever Creator exists, human beings will have to create their own image of God. And if a new image of God is created with sincerity, wisdom and care, it will heal humanity.

Sooner or later, science will have to confront the issues of everlasting life, the afterlife, and healing. If it takes ten thousand years, human beings are meant to discover the keys to immortality; humanity is meant to discover the secrets of creation, of creating the laws of physics, changing them and changing physics constants. Human beings are meant to climb the highest mountains, even if those mountains are the physics prison we find ourselves in.

Ok science doesn't prove God and it just can't, but isn't it just crazy that mass can come out of nowhere? Maybe the idea of a God that hates sins that you might do might be stupid, but there's other ways you can believe in God. I like to believe that God comes whenever he comes and does whatever he wants because he created the mass.

Agreed, but the main reason for that is that the unknowns that are the Singularity of the BB, could lead to say another Universe, and then further questions are needed to be asked and answered.
The belief in an all powerful deity that created all that is reality, also leads to logical questions re his/her origins. But then science is hit with the seemingly illogical answer of that deity being omnipotent and totally infinite.
This to me is the beauty of science in always searching for logical validated answers. The claim of an omnipotent being sort of brings those questions and searchings to a shuddering screaming halt....

[Which is why with my limited brain power and limited deductive reasoning, I chose being agnostic.

I have just as much respect for anyone who lives with the reasoning of that omnipotent being the cause of all we see, as I do with the greats of science searching for further answers, and I have only ever berated them [the religious ones] when they in the first instance berate and deride science and the past and present great men of science.

    Where is this core?
In what direction do I need to look to see it?
Can you show me any valid observational evidence as to how mass evolves into space?
How do you falsify the mainstream evidence that shows space evolves into mass/energy?
What do you call this hypothesis?

My belief in a Creator, doesn't negate my belief in the logic and beauty of science. I don't stop seeking answers through science, simply because I believe in God. That might be a common misconception about how people of faith, view science. Science doesn't compete with my faith, in other words. (and vice versa)
