    I have Civ3 but much prefer Civ2.

I dislike the idea that the game ends at x munber of turns. While Civ3 is more complicated and involved I also do not like the format that Civ3 went to. But that is my personal preference. Maybe you guys could tell me just what you do like about Civ3 that makes it so attractive.

So anyway, here's my current Egyptian Empire, it's colored yellow, and very small (the continent is sort-of shaped like a boot, kinda like Italy). As you can see, I have many men on the way to the capital of Rome, and I've taken several cities, of which there are only a few remaining.

    Pollux V:

Rifleman are very inneficient as attack units. The only thing they are good for is standing in cities and on resource tiles as defense.

Your empire looks big enough to have horses, iron and saltpeter, so you can you build Cavalry. The war will be much faster this way.

Hahaaha...master thor, you disapoint me. I tend to get industrialized before 800 A.D, maybe I should check the time that I'm at when I get home. I would suggest pumping as much money into research as you can spare and building plenty of banks. They save plenty of money. Also build as many wonders as you can spare (Smith's Trading Co will save you 50+ gold a turn).

I'm sorry to say that I abandoned that map. I nuked persia (the light greenish color), and everyone declared war on me. So, yeah.

Yeah, I have my science on high and happiness as high as it could go without losing gold/turns for research.

He may have gotten advances in technology from many of the tribes that are littered across the maps. But that should be sufficient enough

Ah, Civ3's not that great. You people need to play a REAL strategy game, Europa Universalis 2. Now THAT is an amazing game.
