We all know from the Salman Rushdie and the Satanic verses affair such images cause violent and passionate responses from the Islamic community. This has nothing to do with freedom of expression or speech . The artist who drew this did so with the intention of creating trouble thats obvious , so too bad if you dont like the reaction , dont cause trouble . The artist who drew these cartoons was fully aware of what he was creating would be seen as offensive . Likewise the newspaper editor who allowed these cartoons to be published was fully aware these would create a controversy. The Danish community knows by continuing to post these cartoons will only inflame Arab passions even further . The Danes know that by pushing the boundaries of tolerance like this would only cause a violent reaction so the Danes must take responsibilty for their actions .
