    Tiassa,

Pithy means straight to the point. (According to Merriam-Webster dictionary)

My point has nothing to do with politics. I am sure Billy O'Reilly didn't invent that word. I was just poking fun at your writing style. It wasn't even a criticism or anything. I don't expect you to make any change.

Since my back ground is engineering, I like "efficiency". I prefer to maximize verbal efficiency as well as bandwidth effeciency without compromising the content. Using more words doesn't translate to making better points. Giving readers more words to digest than what is needed is totally counter productive.

I consider you more of a philosopher/artist type. For you the abillity to speak eloquently maybe important. There is nothing wrong with that I guess.

Most people don't like to read long posts. When a post is really long, most people just skim through it. People on internet tend to have short attention span. When I plan on making a long post, I always make the opening paragraph interesting or anything shocking or controversial to grab their attention. That is what you suppose to do anyway. I also try to keep the rest of the post interesting.... Anyways, although I am a terrible writer, I am sure there are some aspects of writing I can do better than you. I still like the way you write. Don't get me wrong.

Yeah man. Who said you can't make good points with humor

Being humorous doesn't necessarily translate to "degrading the forum".

this is my choice to talk about fictions, you repeatedly attack me for it. Maybe we should get a new forum - Political fictions forum.

    just jokes.
anyways, i did'nt see in forum rules that political theory is not allowed to be discussed. You have to learn that your opinion is not the correct one, neither is mine because there is not a correct opinion.

I agree. All humans possess the trait of being selfish, it is instinct. Although people who believe immensly in what is right, maybe could not be tempted into corruption.

Why does it not suprise me that Avatar has a statue of Bubastis?

I am a right wing student, then.

People almost always turn conservative when they have something of value to protect, no matter how liberal they pretend to remain.

That's why I prefer being politically Independent. I can with clear conscience, and without social stigma, be liberal, conservative, both or neither as the situation at hand may require.

Adaptablilty is survival. Opportunism is insurance.

I was very liberal when I was in high school. I believed in a lot of things I no longer believe today. I believed in things like socialism, much higher minimum wage, salary caps for people who make a lot of money, and price caps for basic commodities etc.....

The older I get the most shift to the right. I think back then I was innocent, ignorant, uneducated, and stupid. The same thinig can be said to a lot of far left thinking people in this forum.

I try to be honest about whatever (political) subject and not follow the left wing set of thoughts blindly.

Hey, immigrants DO form a problem.

I agree, on both points - Bubastis was the name of a city in Egypt.
