best ways to...

    I was wondering about the best ways to levitate a 2500 Kg ~ 5000 Pounds object at aproximately 1 ~ 2 meters from the ground by the means of high speed fans strategicly located beneath the respective object.

    how can I calculate the amount of energy that I need and discover the best configuration for the maximum durability and smallest energy comsuption possible?

    A big enough hovercraft will levitate 1-2 metres. No problem.

    PROPELLERS are typically... 12 % efficient.

    also... large proppellors... more efficiently lift heavy weights.

    which is why heavy lift copters use one massive wide fan... rather than many small ones.....

    also more blades... means more air moved... more lift.

    i have several books, but if your going to seriously do it, you should get some books yourself.

    model airplane and helicopter books are good... to start building models, which should have the same ratios as the real thing....

    right now... i dont know where my books are.
