can we have a list of all games needed, since i dont want to set up a game and then find i dont have it installed :bugeyes:
or can we come up with say 4 games, so i dont have to download a zillion friggin demos?

Yeah, that would be good. I cannot download countless demos because it might get expensive...also, I would rather play full versions.

 

meh, full versions is too much... and we only have so many, and demos are frankly easier.


go set up a poll or something , then close in a week, we all get the top four demos and then we can kick each others arses proper like

I've got to get my car all tweaked and uberfied in underground so I can kick Dreamies ass (meaning I have to install and start from scratch :bugeye: )

Halo has got to be out. It's terrible. BHD would be a fun one as the level is quite big. BF1942 has got to be out as well, it's so bad.

 

ok, how about this as the possible games.
by the way, only use demos since if i dont have the games then i cant play em....

- BHD (as the FPS)
- Underground (is there a demo for this.. if so this can be the racing game)
- praetorians demo (the RTS)
- and...... third person game of some sort. any suggestions?

 

Underground only has a sp demo.

Never even heard of Praetorians. Must be one of those knights 'n stuff RTS games.

I'll look for some more demos

Looks like NASCAR Thunder 2004 is the latest hot racing demo. Looks good, dunno about multiplayer tho. There's a TOCA Race Driver 2 mp demo out

Well, I cannot get the BHD demo because it is too big (perhaps I should take my computer and visit my friend who has got a flatrate)
Halo is definitely boring, that game is lamer than a slug race.
Battlefield? The demo is somewhat boring because there is only one map and bad performance, the full version is out of the race because no one has it.

Four games...I would take these:

Quake III
NFS Underground (there is a demo, but I don´t think it is multiplayer)
Age of Empires 2
Diablo 2

But since demos seem to be preferred:

Preatorians (I am looking at it right now, but I don´t have the MP demo)
Some online racing game (I want to win somewhere too

When everyone can, they should download Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory. It's only 250mb and it's pretty much a full game. Lots of maps, additional downloadable maps and mods, etc. Excellent game too.

Also, as I said before you can download Ground Control for free from Fileplanet. So that's two full games anyone can play (as long as they don't have 56k)

 

This site is also interesting http://www.the-underdogs.org/ lots of old games, and they are free for the most part. And some of them are still fun.

Cround Control is cool, I played the demo when it came out, but I never got around to buy the full version, I´ll look into it.
RTCW: Enemy territory? I think I have the demo...

Enemy Territory is the demo...they've just left it open so there's loads of maps and mods.

The Underdogs is an abandonware site and is not totally legal. I used to get a lot of games from there but unfortunalty not all of them work with XP.

 

And don´t I know this? But XP has this nice compatibility manager with which you can play older games.

I don´t have CS and it is boring anyway, I mean, I have played it for about 4 years and seriously, I think it more interesting to watch the grass grow.

I have no valid key for anything Half-life-ish when I think about it.

As a last statement, Counter Strike SUCKS!
