There are levels to understanding any political issue, sort of like levels of morality, any level may be correct depending on the specific subject or event.
level 1: one side is 100% correct and pure goodness the other side is 100% incorrect and evil.
level 2: They are both bad! [throw hands up and leave]
level 3: well one side is worse then the other.
level 4: lets come together and try to work out a solution both sides can agree on.

Trump is working from level 2, probably to defend his voting base. I'm working from level 3 and 4: the white nationalist are worse, just on a simple count of death toll and armaments, yes yes antifa are bad, yes the regressive left, sjw, ctrl-left are a problem, not for trump though, they helped him get elected. The solutions are as Liana K points out, we need to understand these people are afraid, the cause of their fear is they have no security, no economic security, we need to focus on economic security, this issue will unify uneducated poor whites, with uneducated poor blacks and Hispanics and so even middle class whites and blacks and Hispanics, men and women.

 

That did not happen. The Left did not create an identity politics movement, the Left did not create a movement that shames and blames people for being born white, none of the current racist movements are "counter movements", and the same people who elected our current President elected the long term Republican members of the ongoing Republican dominated Congress and six of the last ten Presidential terms.

You mean uneducated middle class whites, as well as poor - most Trump voters were more economically prosperous than the average citizen.

In the past, common economic cause has failed to unify uneducated whites and any other race. Quite the opposite. Why will that resoundingly and repeatedly failed tactic work this time, in your opinion?

3. Appears to have no education beyond high-school.

Had this man had a mother that could afford better education for him, a mentor program for him, he would have a better job, a career and a purpose in life, rather then a void to be filled by what ever.
