What are the fastest recorded movements of humans. I looked up obviously running, but I couldn't find stuff for how fast people could move their hands like when the are punching or how fast people can percieve motion, etc. Does anybody know any of the records?

Bob Munden, a fast draw exhibition shooter, can draw and fire a single action revolver - accurately within the meaning in that sport - in something like .009 seconds. Munden is the Guiness Book of records, and claims quick draw is the fastest recorded sport.

The late Ed McGivern could fire five shots from a double action revolver, placing all shots in an area the size of the palm of a human hand in .4 seconds. He could also shoot five clay pigeons in the air with a revolver. I don't have a time for it, but a photographer claimed to get all five clays breaking with a single photo exposure. He says he snapped the shutter when he heard the first shot fired.

I have an ex-wife who one of the fastest mean mouths in the known universe... but I think that's another story.
