    What's your favourite city?
What do you think about whaling?
What's the book you most recently read for the first time?
Do you live in a house or an apartment/flat or something else?
    Apple Mac or PC?
What's the most prevalent colour in your wardrobe?
Name a TV show you try not to miss (if there is one).
Have you ever jumped/dived off the 10 metre board?
Do you know how to knit?
Do you play any musical instruments?
What was the last concert you went to?
What was the first album you bought?
Have you ever been white-water rafting?

Prague. The city is beautiful and I really appreciate the Chechs. They are not immediately friendly by any means, quite reticent actually but when they open up to you they are fascinating. They're as hard as nails, historically connected and politically engaged acutely aware of the arts. You can meet someone and think to yourself 'this is surely some Eastern European gangster' only to discover they make marionettes for a living. One can very cheaply attend the opera or listen to live music. Its a magical place but unfortunately there are too many tourists about.

Whaling? Well I think they are amazing mammals and should be protected. Mysterious creatures with awesome size. I had a very poignant dream about a whale once that still stays with me. I was in the open ocean with nothing about save a small ice island and a whale which swam beneath me. It wasn't aggressive or I didn't seem to be afraid of it. Every once in a while I would hold the side of the island but being unable to surface the small ice pack I would become too tired and descend back into the ocean with this whale moving below supporting me with the rhythm of the waves. I was aware that it was consciously keeping me afloat. Strange you should ask me about whales:bugeye:

Recently I read 'Beauty and Sadness' by Kawabata for the first time though it has been sitting in my collection for a few years.

In NY I live in my mother's house. In Phnom Penh I live in an apartment.

Recently acquired a Mac and will never go back

Prevalent color? Hmm. Outside of basic black & white I tend to have a lot of rose hues.

Oh it used to be the original BBC 'Life on Mars' of which I am an avid fan and (yes I know I should be embarrassed) 'Grey's Anatomy'

Diving? Oh no. Not for me. I'm the sit in a lounge chair with a cocktail kinda gal.

Knitting no but when I was younger I learned how to crochet and crocheted a beautiful blanket. Unfortunately I never kept up the skill.

I had taken piano lessons but became bored. No I do not play any instruments.

The last concert I attended was Dengue Fever in Phnom Penh.

First album? I haven't a clue, probably 'Merry Christmas With The Chipmunks'

Nope. No white-water rafting. I'm the gal who will be waiting for you by the campfire.

I'm adventurous in other ways, you won't find me parachuting out of an airplane or climbing Everest or anything like that.

No treehouse but I have a book about treehouse construction as I would like to have one or two built on the property.

I like English muffins but I tend not to eat bread everyday. I wouldn't normally have toast with breakfast especially when I'm away.

Zebedee our cat, when we still had cats.

    Blue.

There is no particular song I like to listen to for sex. Doesn't matter.

I understand. It does tend to piss the other person off when you start humming along to to it doesn't it.

Yes I have and its very good. I purchased the dvd in Cambodia before I left so it must have been 6 months ago or thereabouts.

Its visually compelling, an honest profile of a psychologically poignant incident lost in the mind of the protagonist. Its a must see for anyone who is interested in Israeli involvement with the Palestinians.

Yes and yes. I'm just about to eat some chicken and broccoli and my mother's home is walking distance to the ocean.

Such strange questions from ye cheshire cats:bugeye:

I should really edit two of my responses. When I was younger I wanted to be an airplane pilot for an international commercial airline and I'm a budding gardner so I guess that is a hobby of sorts

So I take it you have not been on a boat that sinks on purpose.

Have you ever dined on goose liver and caviar?

Have you ever had the feather treatment?

Have you ever has a mud bath?

Have you ever had a quixotic adventure?

And would you eat green eggs and ham?

    Is love an illusion?

No unless you want to consider sciforums that boat.

Yes but not at the same time. I wouldn't eat the goose liver again though.

I do not know the feather treatment what is it?

No, I'm partial to sea salt.

Yes I have been on more than one quixotic adventure and one of them almost landed me in prison but I wont get into that. They have mostly been a whirlwind fun adventure where I have made great new friends. Makes you feel good to be alive.

    No. I rarely eat either.

No love is not an illusion. Yes love is an illusion. Real love takes a very long time and the capacity on some level to idealize the beloved's without completely ignoring their flaws, this means turning their flaws in 'quirks'. Its a very dangerous thing to do sometimes depending on whom you have fallen for. Its an art to be able to do that, create continuous magic around someone, even more difficult to create magic around oneself. Note I believe its easier to accomplish that with a beloved than it is to conjure that around oneself but it is doable. I

What is romance? Its raising the importance of an ideal at the expense of reality. I think there are elements of what romance is about in the answer above.
