Then your position on abortion must be that women should be allowed to do so.

    See? Wasn't that easy?

imo every human being is just as valuable as another. that's why i disagree with abortion. i also value the natural human reproductive process and everything that goes with it, and i don't think we should fuck around with it like we do. pardon the pun.

What you say here directly contradicts what you've already said....

i don't understand. i value the person and the process. as i see it, abortion shows a disregard for the person and the process. so does growing fetuses in test tubes.

Indeed. How valuable are we all as sluts and murderers?

So you find yourself in a contradiction.
You say you value each human, but you also say that you disagree with the human who chooses to abort.

    ???

Clearly, you are thereby forced to value one over the other: the aborting woman, or 'nature'.

When you choose, how do you choose? It cannot be by any criterion involving the valuation of life, because to do this would be to de-value one.

Somehow, you must determine which of the two is of greater value.

    Nasty.

no, i value them both. i just don't agree with the decision because of it.

But in disagreeing with their decision, you are devaluing them. You are, effectively, saying "What you did is wrong. I know better than you."

So much for respect for nature...

    Irrelevant.
You describe yourself as making decisions based upon a respect for all of nature. I have shown you how you are a hypocrite.

i don't see how. i don't see the decision to have an abortion as something that makes someone less valuable. i do see that the decision is based on an assumption that the fetus is less valuable, which i don't agree with.

i also have to point out that in regards to legalities, i said it's fairly irrelevant to me. i don't see how the legality of something really makes that much of a difference in the grand scheme of things.

I know. You're not good with logic.

As I already explained at length, your disapproval of her decision necessarily valuates your decision making ability over hers.

How sad that you can be so judgmental.

Judge not lest ye be judged....

    ???

I made no mention of legalities.

i'm actually very good with logic.

people are not valuable because of their decision making abilities.

true. i think we'll all be judged. i think that judgement will be a revelation of the true and complete consequences of our actions. all of them.

Some food for thought, for those who feel a fetus is a person.

What if a woman doesn't know she is pregnant?

Should she go about her life every day as if she MIGHT find out she is pregnant, just in case a 'person' is in danger?

Should she give up any activity that might endanger a potential fetus? Ya know...drinking, smoking, dangerous sports where she might get an impact injury? No excess caffeine in case it messes with her potential fetus?

We'd all have to go about treating ourselves as pre-pregnant...

    You've yet to display it.

And it's up to you to decide that?
    How nice.

I repeat: I made no mention of legalities.

to you perhaps. or it could be a lack of recognition or appreciation on your part. do you think that mathematic aptitude testing would imply logical capabilities?

no, but it is up to me to recognize that.

the use of the term "allowed" implies legalities.

would you say that doing drugs and putting yourself in harms way for the sake of sport are good ideas even if you weren't pregnant?

to answer your question, imo, yes.

    Incorrect on both points.

Feel free to explain the relation between modus ponens and material implication, then perhaps I'll believe you.

    I won't hold my breath.

    Not necessarily.

Which implies the same grandiose picture of self-importance you previously did.

    Interesting.
You should seek out a dictionary.
Your etymology is as poor as your logic.

look it up. i'm not responsible for your education.

logical capabilities are required for mathematical aptitude and problem solving.

i'm sorry you don't feel like you're important, but i think everyone is.

    allowed by whom?
