The people of our world have the need of a new psychology.

The world is suffering from evil psychology, you can see it's effects prevalent in the games and animation shows the companys are producing. Evil mindedness leads to disease and many other things. It is simple to solve their psychology and if we want this world to progress instead of degrade then we must turn the psychological situation of the planet around. Each person can do thier part and if we work together we can straighten out this situation.

These are just the modern equivalent of sports.

We are pack-social animals by instinct, like wolves and chimpanzees. Our brains are programmed to be loyal to our pack-mates, and to regard members of other packs as competitors for scarce resources. Even though resources are no longer scarce (there's been a surplus of food ever since the invention of the technology of agriculture 12,000 years ago), we've only had a few hundred generations to adapt to this, and that's not long enough for our DNA to evolve new instincts. (Dogs, in contrast, have had thousands of generations and they have in fact evolved tremendously. They are much less competitive, more gregarious, more tolerant, more peaceful and more playful than wolves--or humans!)

We need an outlet for our instinctive violence. Wars have happened with disgusting regularity because we have not been able to curb our nature. But sports are a welcome alternative. You can hate the opposing team and use violence against them, but when the game is over everyone is (usually) still alive.

Videogames are a step beyond that. You can actually kill your enemies, but they are nothing more than realistic digital avatars. No actual humans are harmed in the process.

This is tremendous progress. You're just looking at it from the wrong perspective.

Horse puckey! Did you get that from a fortune cookie, or do you just watch too much television?

If there is a problem (and I stress the word "if" because you have not proven your point), it's in our politics and our religions, not our entertainment. Both politicians and religious leaders try very hard to make us believe that we're better than the "others," so there's no reason to treat them kindly. In fact, we're supposed to believe that they are responsible for all of our problems!

Many times it is the leaders that create the problems they say we have when in reality there aren't that many. In order for leaders to lead, in many circumstances, they only want to make problems that they say we need to solve either by wars or other means.

Author Jemery Rifkin argues that a change in human consciousness is currently underway in his book "The Empathic Civilization":

Perhaps this is what you are looking for?
