    "I love music! What kind of music I listen to differs with my mood, but I like Alternative, Rock, Pop, and Rap; I also like a little bit of R&B. My favorite bands are Coldplay, Evanescence, Nickelback, Linkin Park, Metallica (especially newer songs), Black Eyed Peas, and Keane. My favorite solo artists are Avril Lavigne, Michelle Branch, and Britney Spears."

    am I cool or what?

    No really tell me!

    well so far:

    alternative = good
    Rock = slow and mundane but tolerable
    Pop = overproduced meaningless shit
    rap = talentless dumbasses playing a 4 beat rhythm and saying that they loves whores really fast
    r&b = tryhard rappers that suck even more for insulting good music
    *******************************************
    coldplay = ok at times
    Evanescence = a lame attemp at goth metal
    nickelback = have but a few good songs, verging on pop with most
    Linkin park = ok lyrics but it sounds like someone played rap overtop of pop with reanimation
    metallica = the worst band i have ever been unfortunate enough to listen to, it is the most insulting band ever to disgrace metal and the songs have beeen getting worse with every album
    black eyed peas = tolerable but verging on rap
    avril lavigne = tryhard punk rocker
    michelle branch = monkey that can play a guitar, sounds like a toilet flushing
    britney spears = a wannabe pornstar that cant sing for shit without a computer aid

    now give me mudvayne, cradle of filth, the haunted or nightwish anyday

    hey vslayer...you got lots o' blocks dude

    ok, my taste is eclectic, i like loads of different forms of music. some i dont even know the labels for

    Blues, Jazz, Flamenco, Cajun, Bluegrass, Rock, Hip Hop, Saharan African, Morrocan Sufi, Drum&Base, Funk, Rap, Dancehall, REggae, Bosa Nova, Salsa, Celtic, 12the century nuns singing, Classical European, and Indian, new experimental classical, Bhangra, Native American. Australian Aborginee, Pygmies, ... ...and on and on
    most music i tape spontaenously from radio shos that do good qualitiy music

    i LOVE compilations i have made myself....where the mood changes, sometimes dramtically. have lots of tapes

    best way to open yourself up to M U S I C which is global and intedimensinal is to TRip and listen to stuff you wouldn't normally listen to....and/or just listen openly and let feelings of discomfort flow over you...until it clciks

    i am not saying i like EVERYTHING...HATE coporatized crap. and too-mechancial sounding elctro beats....

    these musics--for me--are like masks. you can feel into them, become the FEEL of them if you open yourself to muSIC, instead of limiting your creative capacity

    what you notice about some people as they get older is they get a block aboutother musics than they loved in thier prime time. though i have also encountered this old-timer syndrome with youngens, who get really disturbed if you play music they're not familiar with!
