Nvm. lol. I'm talking about the event. Not the year. Notice the topic is called the 2012 thread. No one is talking about the year... That was a great post. Thanks. Hope it made you feel warm inside.
trying to throw haymakers with only 5 posts not a good idea ontop of that making a personal attack lol
I dunno... if it's the end of the world I'd think he'd stop hearing of it round about the time he died! Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image!
This isn't science. Its pseudoscience. Move the thread.. I can't believe people believe this. The Mayans never predicted the end. Its the restart of the calender. Go http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2012_phenomenon#Mesoamerican_Long_Count_calendar Conspirators created this myth. Will man ever stop creating this bullshit Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image!
Why? When is the "Abnormal Condition" a pseudoscience? Was 9/11 a pseudo science too? If the Mayan say there will be a new beginning and at the same time, dollar collapses to be replaced by a new currency, that would be an abnormal condition just coinciding with Mayan Prophecy!
I see you're unsure of what, exactly, constitutes a fact. It's not a fact until it's provably (truly, actually) occurred. Therefore the Sun rising tomorrow cannot be a fact.
This thread is a kind of Coventry for such nonsense. The topic keeps coming up, and I suspect the frequency will increase over the next year.
You're right, it's not a fact.. But it IS a highly probable event. I hopePlease Register or Log in to view the hidden image!
That's pretty much saying that you doubt in your own existence. If sun rising wasn't a fact the sun would not rise today, but it has risen the last 20 years of my life, every single day-it has occured, which means it's a proven fact.
Oh, wrong again. Or are you somehow claiming that because you are alive today you will be alive tomorrow? Without fail? Incontrovertibly? Yes, the Sun rose for the last 20 years of your life, and it will rise tomorrow. Unless something happens. And until, or unless, you can state with absolute certainty that there will be no "accident" to prevent the sun rising tomorrow it remains a likelihood rather than being a certain fact.
We should all know that when England holds the 2012 Olympics it will most likely be one of the worst flops in world history, however it's "Not the end of the world". 2012 is going to be like any other year, it will come and it will go, and then it will be 2013 and all those "end of worlders" will feel like complete idiots or do like various religions do and go... well it's 2020 then or 2040, or 2054 or 2110 or 2201 etc.
Yes the sun will rise tomorrow sun will not vanish, it will be here even when I or you die, the Earth will also be here. No accident can happen to the sun, at least not for the next 4.5 billion years (approximately). And these are the facts.
Still wrong. But at least you appear to be happy in your ignorance. I found the last sentence particularly funny. So now you're claiming omniscience? Way to go...
