A kind of prison designed by Jeremy Bentham.

It was circular, with cells around the outside and an observation tower in the centre. Warders could watch prisoners from the observation tower, but prisoners were to be kept in individual cells open only in the side facing the central tower, so that they could not see or interact with other prisoners.
