Why weren't the passengers asked what they saw happen?

When accidents happen it is customary to ask those who survive what they saw happen. Why hasn't the media asked the passengers of the plane that went into the Hudson river what they heard and saw when the plane lost power to both engines? It is very odd to me that all of the reporters there not one asked any passenger what happened. Isn't that strange to you as well?

The successful splashdown itself is bigger news than additional eyewitness reports I guess.

When a crash happens it is only human nature to ask what was happening to

cause the crash. You have 150 people as eye witnesses to this crash and

yet none were asked anything about what they heard or saw while in the air

only what happened after the crash. I'm curious why no reporters were not

asking more questions as they would normally do in any such cases. I'm just

interested as to what happened to the plane now I know the passengers are

    all safe.

Here's video from the NY Post. They also have interviews with the passengers.

No, not one bit. Because from I have been reading, there are interviews all over the place.
    Why so suspicious?

Well, they know what caused it. They know pretty accurately where and when it happened.
I saw a complete simulation of the whole thing, I think it was on CNN.
There is not much more to ask I guess..

Just watched the latest update and still not one passenger was asked what they saw , heard or felt when the planes engines quit. That would be the first question they should ask because the passengers were sitting right on around the wing so they could easily spot a flock of birds and see the long flames that happen when a bird strike happens and the engines backfire. They would know something if the birds were to blame.

Cosmic, it is quite possible that they spoke to the media immediately after their rescue and now are being left alone. Witnesses on the ground saw the plane hit the flocks of birds. The pilot reported a double bird strike.

Tell me, when you fly, do you keep your face pressed up against the windows to look outside?

They haven't even completed any form of investigation yet, and you are demanding they release the information to the public, before the investigation is complete. Give the authorities a chance to do their investigation.. Stop assuming this is a cover up for something sinister.

What paranoid delusion are you espousing this time, cosmic? I have seen/heard multiple interviews with passengers. Orleander posted one, so did Bells. Google "flight 1549 passenger interview" and you will come up with several interviews with passengers, including Fred Beretta, Denise Lockie, Martin and Tess Sosa, Dave Sanderson, Jeff Kolodjay, Linda Hahn, Billy Campbell, ...

I only ask questions that anyone would ask. If that is so damn wrong then it is your problem not mine because to me I don't have any problems asking what I want to know unlike you who just remain sedentary in your views about this. It is just strange to me that it takes 3 days now to "debrief" the pilot and co pilot about a flock of birds hitting the plane. They should be easily debriefed if that's all that happened I would think. I don't see anything sinister but do think that there's more to what happened than what we are being told. That's why I ask my questions.

Debriefing the pilot and co-pilot is but one part of the investigation. They need to look at the plane's engines, get to the black box data and recordings and then see if it all matches up.. speak to any witnesses.. investigations into plane crashes can take weeks, months and sometimes even more than a year.
