It hasn't been on my network for years, shame I used to enjoy it. Incidentally if you are watching it on HBO, what days is it on?

I don't, because I don't understand the appeal of mafia stories. They're just regular criminals with Italian accents, often times fat too (which doesn't really work with their intimidation act, they just look like angry fat guys).

The next episode is Sunday night. It reruns multiple times throughout the week as well.

I watch it, Anthony. Or I watch it eventually, as I don't have HBO and usually just buy the box sets.

I'm sad to see the show go, but it hasn't been hitting its usual highs lately. I think a mob war should have happened several seasons ago. About the end? Well, I just can't see them (the writers) letting Tony get away with it all. He'll have to die for his sins, won't he? Or will they let him live so they can make a movie?

You should enjoy the final season. You'll get your mob war. The only question now is, who will survive?

wow, i'm surprised there are not more Sopranos fans around here. I personally think the show is the greatest in TV history next to The Simpsons, maybe even tied...it is popular for a reason.

Either way, I think Tony is going to survive. It will be Sylvio who will die for sure, along with some members of the New York family who will pay dearly for killing Bobby off. Tony will survive because he has always survived everything that comes along his way.

    Plus he's my favorite character

Rigth, but the first half of season six was a non-starter and wasted time on issues that had little or no meaning, this, after season five redeemed the horrid season four.

I still think they will kill Tony (the movie idea seems dead), though to me it always seemed more compelling to make Tony choose between his crime family and his real family: IE, rat the crime family out and enter the Federal Witness Protection program or keep your mouth shut and go to jail and hurt your blood relations?

I hope you're right. I've felt all season that AJ was going to play an important role and either save the day or avenge his father's death and take his place. The boy sure needs something to kick him in the ass, a mob war may be just the thing.

Remember how pepped up Tony was after barely avoiding that hit by the two black guys? Same deal.

    Still, anything could happen.

M*W: AJ will live up to his family name. Tony will be whacked or almost be whacked when AJ kills all of the anti-Sopranos. AJ will be the family hero. Meadow won't be invovled, but Carmela gets whacked. AJ will defend his family and become the hero.

Don't you know, Meadows now going to be a lawyer. I'm sure she'll end up in the family business one way or the other.

Does anyone else think Tony got wacked after the season finale?? The music stopped out of nowhere, and the screen faded to black for 5 seconds....the Sopranos has never ended like that before. The ending could have been better but anyone who watched the episode carefully knows Tony Soprano is now a dead man. RIP TONY, greatest show of all time (maybe next to the simpsons)

That is a reasonable interpretation. Earlier this season he said that you never see it coming when you're wacked. Everything just goes black. (in the conversation with Bobby on the boat).

The only way we'll know for sure is if they decide to continue the series in some format, such as a movie. At that point, whether Tony is dead would probably be decided by how much money he wanted to be in the movie.

I've been reading up on the blogs and apparently the camera switch to Tony's POV each time they bell rang. The last time, when Meadow comes in, we see her through his eyes, then all is black. According to those who pour over the show's finer points, Bobby and he talked about getting shot earlier in the season, and Bobby said something about "not even knowing it happened" and everything going dark. This led me to recall some early lines in the show from Livia about it all being a big, dark "nothing." Still, I think the ending has a lot of problems.

If we're seeing Meadow through Tony's eyes, why didn't she react (or at least start to react) to someone shooting her father right before he got it?

Wasn't the song choice, "Don't Stop Believing," with the lyrics "it goes on and on," suggesting life?

Regardless, I still don't think this has gone down well with the viewers...

I only watched a few shows maybe six total, i watched the last one. That being sadi it is the best directed and probably acted show in a decade

The end scene was classic whackage...Godfather (Michael walks into the bathroom

)\Goodfellas and that movie about the labor leader with Danny DeVito got whacked similarly. The cuts were great, the music was a good choice and the guy walking into the bathroom and looking towards the means he came out shooting...but i would say only tony got whacked...6 rounds from a .22 cal. God please not the hot babes. My heart was pounding.

Yes, but for whom did everything go black at the end of the finale? Not Tony, but you, the viewer.

It was the audience that got whacked.

I thought the last shot was from Tony's POV. So it went dark for him, or so the intepretation goes...

I may have to watch it again, but I am fairly sure that the last shot was us looking at the family sitting the table. You're making me doubt though...
