Just for the sake of interest and fun I wanted to propose a poetry challenge, a sci forum contest......

The idea is to compose a poem and maybe have it voted on later on a given subject.

The subject I would like to suggest for this thread is:

Busker


As a starter he is my simple offering:

Busker

Echoes of melancholy, a moment of care
His only witness
The cold night air
Sad sounds of loneliness,
His desire to share
The suffering, only he can express
His reward, a bus fare.
His hat on the ground begging for coin
Empty, as his life,
An emotional void
No one to listen to what he has to say,
No one to care whether he sees in another day.
His solitary vigil awaits the dawn
As the sun rises he packs his things
wondering why he was born
